You’ve been calm and ‘can do’ throughout, guiding us through the planning process, and remained steady through our early wobbles about timescales, setbacks about foundations etc! We’ve brought so many questions to you, and you’ve always brought great suggestions, as well as welcoming our own design ideas. You also found us a great building team! So many people have complaints and dissatisfaction from this process, we have none! Working with you has been an unalloyed pleasure.’

‘An attention to detail both in beauty and functionality that just makes it work effortlessly’
When we decided to build an extension we wanted a space where we could entertain, where we could be in the kitchen whilst spending time with others. We wanted a better link to our garden and we wanted storage that would hide all the necessities of modern living. And we wanted it to be striking, beautiful and have a touch if luxury.
The design delivered all of these things with an attention to detail both in beauty and functionality that just makes it work effortlessly.
What we hadn't planned for was how this design would change how we live in our home; and it was a wonderful surprise.
Even in the darkest of winter days we have a light but warm space that we just want to be in. We have all but stopped watching the television instead choosing to be in the new extension, reading, listening to music or just being with each other. It's almost a romantic notion but we cook and eat together everyday instead of side by side on the sofa. We have a bath for sharing that dares to take advantage of the stunning valley views.
Our home is no longer just a place for eating, sleeping and storing our belongings. It is the place we want to be, the place we relax, the place we talk and the place we have fun.
